Storyteller

I am also a storyteller, drawing mainly on Norse mythology and the rich history and folklore of the Wirral Peninsula. I have retold stories from both subjects in books such as Wirral Smugglers, Wreckers and Pirates, The Sands of Dee, Angliad: the Legendary History of the Anglo Saxon People, and The Guests of Odin.

I have worked as a storyteller for a variety of organisations including Wirral based mental health charity the Open Door Centre, Wirral Talking Newspaper, Hidden Wirral, and a variety of local schools, libraries, and societies.

I provide storytelling sessions, local history talks, and creative writing workshops. Based in Merseyside, I am willing to travel, and my work has taken me from St George's Hall in Liverpool and as far as the British Museum. I also tell stories from world mythology, folklore, and tradition, as per the client's request.

Follow this link for the first of four videos where I retell the story of the Viking attack on the city of Chester. And this link for a tale from Norse mythology.
